DIY make your own Scrabble wall decoration!
DIY S C R A B B L E WALL DECORATION
Heyy guys! And welcome to another blog post!
This time I scored no less than 16 points! How? With Scrabble;) Together with some inspiration from a home design magazine and my own ideas, I managed to make this super fun game for decoration on your walls. At my desk/my workplace, I always have much things to do so I thought that To do Work / Work To Do was a suitable quote for above my desk. This DIY is not just made in a day so take your time!
What do you need?
- Wood (underlayment)
- Black paint
- Templates of letters
- Pencil, Rubber & a Ruler
- A pair of scissors
- Decoupling saw
- Power strips (sticky suspension system)
How do you make it?
Step 1 -> Draw on your piece of underlayment squares of 15cm x 15cm.
Step 2 -> Saw out the squares with a cutter saw and sand the surface well.
Step 3 -> Draw the letters on the wood with your templates.
Step 4 -> Paint the letters with a black paint and rub the pencil residue.
Step 5 -> Attach the sticky power strips to the back of the piece of wood and use your level to fix it vertically / horizontally to the wall. A space of about 5cm is left between the squares.
I hope you like it and / or gained some inspiration for your own creation!
